There have been several incidents this evening involving bonfires which have been left unattended and have spread out of control. This is particular dangerous with the high winds being experienced at this present time.

Please ensure that when having a bonfire that precautions are taken to ensure safety. Make sure it is in an open area with no risk of spreading, that there is a means to extinguish it such a garden hose and that weather conditions are taken into account.
