Bowling Clubhouse damaged By Fire
Poltair Park, Trevarthian Road, St Austell at 01/10/2006 22:30
The brigade were called at 2230 to a reported fire in Poltair Park, St Austell. Two fire engines from St Austell and one from Mevagissey attended the incident. When they arrived the single storey clubhouse 30m by 10m was well alight. Four firefighters wearing breathing aparatus, 1 jet and 2 hosereels extinguished the blaze. Over half the building was totally destroyed by fire - the other half is smoke damaged. A fire investitgation is currently being carried out. Arson is suspected and the police are now dealing.
