Just over 30 firefighters from Perranporth, Newquay, Truro and Falmouth attended a fire in a row of terraced houses. One property was struck by lightning and caught fire which spread to the adjoining property. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus worked hard to prevent the fire spreading along the whole terrace. Four jets were used to extinguish the fire by 1340hrs. Crews remained in attendance damping down, leaving the scene at 1630hrs.
