Firefighters from Saltash, Callington, Bodmin, Liskeard, Truro and Plymouth are currently fighting a large house fire in Pillaton. Using jets and the aerial ladder platform from Plymouth to reach the roof they are working hard to control the fire. It has completely taken hold of the roof of the property. Further information when available.

The fire is under control. Firefighters from Saltash are still in attendance damping down.

A fire investigation is taking place into the cause of the fire. It is not being treated as suspicious
