One fire appliance from Camborne attended about 100 metres square of gorse that was alight. The crew were delayed getting to the incident because of cars parked obstructing their route in Dudnance Lane. Firefighters had to proceed on foot and use beaters to deal with the blaze until the fire appliance could get through. Power lines were involved and electrical engineers attended to make them safe.
