On reports of this incident, appliances from Helston and Camborne were mobilised to the address. On arrival the crew found an end of terrace house smokelogged, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property to investigate, the crews found that the problem was caused by a defective flue in the premise. One person was treated by ambulance personnel for the effects of smoke inhilation. The occupants were given safety advice by attending personnel.
