Firefighters from Camborne were called to a small fire in the lounge of the property.
Fortunately the fire was out when they arrived due to the quick reactions of the occupants. They had been alerted to the fire by a working smoke alarm that had been fitted by Red Watch at Camborne Fire Station. The male occupant tackled the fire using a dry powder extinguisher. He was treated for smoke inhalation by paramedics but did not have to go to hospital.
