Firstly, thank you for your patience following the recent hardware failure that resulted in the Newdesk being temporarily unavailable.

Here is a brief summary of the weather-related calls received in the Truro-based Fire Control overnight and up to 1500hrs.

Cables arcing or on fire - 18
Flooding - 3
Trees, fences, walls or other items blown over or items from property blown off - 26

The incidents of any note have been listed individually. Some of these calls were passed to the appropriate agency to deal, such as Highways and Western Power Distribution and others, where only advice was given.

Other minor incidents that are not newsworthy - 16 (includes 10 calls to Fire Alarms actuating - but no fire).
