On initial reports of this incident crews from Torpoint were mobilised, whilst still en route a large fire could be seen in the distance and further resources were requested. On arrival there was found to be a single detached bungalow well alight, further resources from Liskeard, Saltash and Bodmin were mobilised. At one stage there were 'Persons Reported' at the incident, but fortunately the owner arrived on scene and confirmed that there was no one in the property. Teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were committed at the scene, and the fire was eventually extinguished using jets and hosereels. Some crews remained on scene damping down. All crews returned to home stations by approximately 1000 hours.
