On receipt of this call crews from Callington were mobilised, on arrival further resources were requested, crews from Liskeard and Saltash were mobilised also the command unit from Truro and operational support vehicle from St. Austell.
The fire involved a single storey building which was used as a museum, which measured approximatly 20 x 10 metres, flames were issuing through the roof. Teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were committed at the scene, three jets and a hosereel were used to extinguish the fire. Crews were delayed a considerable time in salvaging various items from the building.
