Boiler Room Fire

In the early hours of this morning the Brigade were called to a residential home in Station Road. Two fire engines from St Columb and 1 from Newquay attended. On arrival at the scene the Brigade discovered a fire in the first flor boiler room. The extinguished the fire using a hose reel and breathing apparatus was worn. All residents had been moved to a safe area. Two members of staff and one resident suffered from smoke inhalation and were treated by ambulance crews. One member of staff was later taken to hospital.
