House Fire

Firefighters from Perranporth, Redruth and Truro were mobilised to a report of a house fire. On arrival the crews found a two storey house with the gable end and roof well alight. Further assistance was requested and crews were mobilised from Newquay, Camborne and Falmouth. Firefighters wearing breathing appratus used two jets and two hosereels to bring the fire under control by 0515hrs.
Two crews remained in attendance damping down until 0900hrs. An investigation into the cause of the fire concluded that it started accidentally.
