Fire In Derelict Building

At 1820hrs we received a call to fire in the old Falmouth Tavern, 2 appliances from Falmouth were initially mobilised. When they arrived on scene further appliances were requested, attending from Redruth, Truro and St Austell this included the aerial ladder platform from Truro.
This building was approx 15mx8m and 3 storeys high firefighters fought the fire from the ground until the roof collapsed and the aerial ladder platform took over fighting the fire from above. The fire was under control at 2045hrs the ignition is thought to be arson.
