8 Pump Gorse Fire

Over 60 firefighters from Falmouth, Camborne, Truro, Penzance, Redruth and Helston dealt with a blaze which involved about 25 hectares of gorse. Crews used beaters to prevent the fire from spreading to property and the fire was brought under control by 1636hrs. Crews remained on scene damping down hotspots until 2020hrs.
