On reports of a large fire at Lean Quarry, appliances from Liskeard were mobilised, on arrival there was found to be a large amount of rubbish on fire and a further appliance from Lostwithiel and the water carrier from Bodmin were mobilised. A main jet and hosereel were used to extinguish the fire, firefighters also wore breathing apparatus at the scene because of the large amount of smoke.
