Camper Van Fire Spread To Garages

At 0248 this morning, the Brigade was called to a camper van fire at Beach Road in Porthtowan.
Two appliances, one from Redruth and one from Camborne attended the incident as the fire had spread from the camper van to 3 other vehicles and two domestic detached garages.
The brigade used 4 Breathing Apparatus, 1 Jet and 1 Hose Reel, from a hydrant to extinguish the fire.
The crews were detained 20 mins damping down and making up.
The police were also asked to attend the scene as arson was suspected.
