Firefighters from Newquay along with support officers, who are all specially trained to operate the High Volume Pump stationed at Newquay, have mobilised to assist in pumping floodwater in Gloucester. Initially they were tasked to the Walham Sub-station but have now been deployed to Castle Meads Sub-station, Gloucester. They are one of six High Volume Pumps operating at this location.
The High Volume Pump from Newquay arrived in Gloucester at 0130hrs Monday and has joined High Volume Pumps from around the country to assist in the unprecedented response, to this widespread flooding.
