Cornwall Assistance With Flooding In Gloucester

The High Volume Pump from Newquay was initially mobilised to this incident on the 22nd July. Firefighters and support officers from Cornwall who are trained on the pump have been in attendance and the pump has been in constant use with other pumps giving assistance with the flooding. The pumps were used at Castle Mead electricity substation and the Mythe water treatment works. All personnel and equipment returned to Cornwall on the afternoon of Friday 27th July, and are available again should the need arise.
