Two appliances from St. Austell attended this incident. At first there were persons reported, but all persons were accounted for. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus dealt with the fire in the roof space, they used two jets to extinguish the fire. One person was treated by ambulance personnel at the scene. Crews remained on scene for a considerable time damping down remaining hotspots. Appliances returned to station at approximately midnight.
