Chemical Incident
A38, Near Lower Clicker at 10/08/2007 09:32
On receipt of this call, resources were mobilised to a layby on the A38 involving a chemical spill from a lorry. Appliances from Liskeard, Callington and St. Austell also a decontamination unit and appliance from Bodmin as well as the breathing apparatus support unit from St. Austell are in attendance. Teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, gauntlets and air tight suits have been involved in removing the load which contained various chemicals. The damaged container has now been isolated using an overdrum and all chemical residues have been diluted using water. No further information is avaliable on this incident.
