When crews from Truro and Perranporth arrived on scene they found the ambulance, which was carrying oxygen and gas cylinders, to be well alight. They tackled the fire using two sets breathing apparatus, 2 hose reels, 1 main jet and dry powder.
Crews remained on scene for some time damping down and cooling the cylinders, the cause is thought to be accidental.
