The Brigade were called to a report of a fire in a bedroom of a semi-detached bungalow. Two fire appliances from Helston attended and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus quickly extinguished the fire using a hosereel. The property was then ventilated using a positive pressure fan.
An elderly occupant suffered burns and was taken to Treliske Hospital, Truro, by ambulance.
There are no further details about the casualty available from the Brigade.
