At mid-night we were called to a bungalow on fire. Fire engines from St.Ives and Camborne were mobilised and the water carrier was also required. Station Officer Andy Barrett was in charge. The bungalow was 16 metres by 10 metres with flames issuing through the roof. We fought the fire with 2 hosereels from the pumping appliance and 4 breathing apparatus wearers.
