Four Pump Fire At Public House - Updated 0300hrs

Firefighters from Falmouth were in attendance within six minutes of the time of call to a fire with persons reported trapped. It was quickly confirmed that all persons were accounted for.

The roof of the 15 metre by 8 metre public house was well alight. Firefighters, some wearing breathing apparatus, used three jets, one hosereel and thermal imaging cameras to fight the fire.

Assistance was requested and firefighters from Redruth and Truro also attended.

0200hrs - Two crews from Falmouth remain at the scene, damping down.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

0300hrs - The crews have now left the incident.

The investigation into the cause of the fire will continue later this morning.
