Two appliances from Penzance were mobilised to this incident, on arrival there was found to be a leak from an external pipe, the incident was in the proximity of the Poltair Hospital, as a precuation the hospital was evacuated to the front of the building, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were committed at the scene and used a jet and hosereel at the scene, Transco were in attendance and Brigade personnel under the supervision of Transco temporarily stemmed the leak. The leak was eventually stemmed by a Wales & West Repair Team.
