Two fire appliances from Redruth were mobilised to a report of a deep fat fryer alight. A member of staff had done the right thing by covering the fryer with a fire blanket and dialling 999 to call out the Fire Brigade.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus removed the fryer to open air to allow it to cool and a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke.
