Firefighters from St Austell and St Dennis have been called to a gas leak at the garage. A vehicle has struck and fractured two 1000 litre LPG tanks.
The A3058 has been closed and a number of properties have been evacuated.
Firefighters are dispersing the gas as quickly and as safely as possible.
Update at 17.00hrs
Firefighters are now leaving the scene as it has been declared safe. The incident will now be managed by Calor.
The roads surrounding the incident will soon be reopened and homeowners have been allowed back into their properties.
