Chimney Fire

Firefighters from Truro attended a fire in the chimney of a woodburner. The crew extinguished the fire by 1115hrs.
General Fire Safety Advice:
Chimney fires are serious and can spread to other parts of a house.
We advise that you have your chimney swept by a competent chimney sweep at least once a year or if you regularly burn wood, at least twice a year.
