This afternoon appliances from Camborne, Penzance and Helston attended a reported dog in a shaft at the above location. Using animal rescue equipment and rescue lines one firefighter was lowered into the wet shaft and rescued a male, black and white springer spaniel from a depth of approximately twenty five metres. The dog was wet but well and is now back with his owner.
