One appliance from St Austell attended a reported fire involving candles. The candles had melted into each other and the melted wax had caught fire. The crew used a co2 extinguisher to extinguish the fire. Please note the following information regarding using candles safely.

Candles
Always use suitable stable holders and place on a heat resistant surface.

Keep away from furniture and curtains and out of the reach of children and away from pets.
Keep candles away from draughts and away from curtains, furniture, clothing and other items that may catch fire.
Never leave burning candles, oil, incense and joss sticks unattended
Always place candles in a suitable holder, which cannot fall over easily.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Never put lit candles of any sort on top of televisions.

Keep candles out of the reach of children

Always ensure candles are properly extinguished before going to bed.
