Smoke Alarm Saves Life
Between Manaccan and Helford, The Lizard Peninsula at 07/01/2008 02:02
An occupant escaped by breaking a window, when the smoke alarm in their static caravan alerted them to a fire. Two fire appliances from St Keverne and one fire appliance from Mullion attended. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hosereels to extinguish the fire involving the static caravan, measuring approximately ten metres by three metres. Two casualties were conveyed to hospital by ambulance suffering cuts and bruises.
