Two crews from Camborne were called to a house whose fuse box had exploded and set on fire. Crews used one carbon dioxide extinguisher and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. Western power engineers attended the property. The fire in the fuse box had started after a power surge. Crews checked neighbouring properties for damage and found one toaster and one shower that had also beed damaged by the power surge.
