Bungalow Well Alight

Three fire appliances from Bude and one fire appliance from Launceston attended a fire involving a bungalow, measuring about twenty metres by ten metres. The fire was well developed and flames were coming through the roof. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two jets and two hosereels to extinguish the fire.
The fire was alongside the main A39 and the crews used a fire hydrant situated in the middle of the road. This caused a build up of traffic and the police attended to assist with traffic control.
A fire investigation team were on scene for much of the day to identify the cause of the fire. The result of which, has not yet been determined.
