One fire appliance from St Austell and one fire appliance from Fowey attended. The fire was in a semi-detached property, measuring about five metres by five metres. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and one casualty, suffering the effects of smoke inhalation, was rescued. The casualty was left in care of ambulance personnel. A search for further casualties was made but no-one else was found. One hosereel was used to extinguish the fire.

Arson is suspected and a fire investigation is underway. Police are also on scene.
