On receipt of this call, both appliances from Falmouth were mobilised, on arrival there was found to be a fire involving the kitchen of a detached two floor property, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a jet and a hosereel to extinguish the fire. The building was heavily smokelogged and Brigade personnel used the positive pressure fan to ventilate the property. The cause of the fire was believed accidental. Unfortunately smoke detectors in the property were defective, if they had been working it would have alerted the occupants much earlier and saved considerable damage. There are no further details available at this time.
