Fire In Derelict Building

Two fire appliances from Looe were mobilised to a report of a fire in a three storey derelict building. On arrival the crews confirmed that flames and smoke were issuing and a further two fire appliances were requested. Both of these were sent from Liskeard.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used three jets to extinguish the fire in the derelict building measuring twenty metres by fifteen metres. Crews left the scene at just before 0300hrs.
Arson is suspected and the police are now dealing.
