Four crews from Truro, Perranporth and Newquay attended a barn fire this afternoon. Upon arrival of the Brigade three pumps were requested to attend, the barn was well alight and it was reported that vehicles and tractors were involved. Crews used four breathing apparatus, two jets were used and a decontamination unit was set up. Two adjoining buildings measuring 10 m x 8 m and 10 m x 6 m were also involved in the fire. The environmental agency were informed due to a large amount of water run off from the fire. Amounts of hay were removed from the barn. One crew from Truro remain on scene turning over and damping down the scene. Police are still on scene acting as traffic control. The fire is believed to be accidental.
