One appliance from Launceston was sent to this incident, on arrival they requested a second appliance as they found the camper van well alight with the fire spreading to adjoining buildings. The van was severely damaged and two adjoining buildings were slightly damaged by heat, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hosereels and a jet to extinguish the fire. The van contained an LPG gas cylinder which was removed and cooled by the brigade.
