A concerned neighbour dailled 999 when they heard a smoke alarm sounding and could see smoke in a house.
Firefighters from Camborne attended and forced entry into the property and found a small fire involving a cooker. The fire was already out and the crew inspected to ensure all was safe. The house was then ventilated to clear the smoke.
A working smoke alarm alerted the neighbour to a problem at this house. The neighbour called the fire brigade and their actions have saved the house from further damage.
