Crews from Liskeard, Callington and Lostwithiel attended this incident, which involved a barn measuring 40 by 20 metres, on arrival the barn was found to be well alight, further resources were requested and water carriers from Bodmin and Devon attended. The barn contained straw and farm utilites. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were deployed at the scene and the fire was extinguished using jets and hosereels. Crews were delayed for a considerable time, the last crew returning at approximately 0400 hours. The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time. No further details are available.
