Crews from St. Ives attended this incident. On arrival there was found to be a water leak leading to flooding through the ceiling and entering the electrics. Brigade personnel gave general assistance and helped with salvage at the scene. The decision was made to evacuate the hospital, patients were transferred to Helston and Camborne/Redruth Hospitals. Firefighters assisted paramedics and ambulance personnel with the evacuation. The incident was protracted and Brigade resources were deployed until the early hours of Thursday morning.
