Hendra Holiday Park, Lane, Newquay at 13/08/2008 00:28

At 2343 the Brigade was called to Hendra Holiday Park, to a caravan on fire. Two appliances from Newquay were mobilised and a further appliance from St Columb was also sent, due to the number of calls received by the Brigade.

On arrival the crews found a caravan approx two meters by four meters well alight with a tent also involved. The crews used two hose reels, one main jet and four breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.

Two casualties were dealt with by the ambulance suffering from smoke inhalation. Further information regarding these casualties can been sought from the ambulance service.

The Brigade will be in attendance damping the scene down for a short while before returning to home stations.
