Two appliances from Helston and one appliance from Mullion attended this incident. On arrival, crews found there to be smoke issuing from a second floor flat. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using a hose reel entered the building and found the kitchen of the premise to be alight. The fire was quickly extinguished before the fire spread to other parts of the flat. Crews then ventilated the premise using positive pressure ventilation fans. Four occupants were treated by Ambulance crews for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire was accidental and the fire was confined to the Kitchen.
