Two crews from St Dennis and one from St Austell were called to a property with smoke and flames seen in the kitchen. Upon arrival crews found a small fire in the kitchen and used a carbon dioxide extinguisher and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. Crews then ventilated the property using positive pressure ventilation to reduce smoke damage to the premise. The fire had started when a newspaper had fallen down the side of a rayburn and caught alight.
