Mens Institute Building Fire

At 01:27 two crews from Redruth and one from Camborne were mobilised to a fire involving a Mens Institute building. Upon crews arrival the hall was well alight. The building measured 20 meters by 8 meters. Gas supplies to the hall were isloated and crews used two main jets supplied by hydrants. One hosereel jet and four breathing apparatus were also used at the incident. Electricity engineers had to dig the road up near the hall to isolate electricity supply. A fire investigation team will attend the incident scene in the morning.
