On receipt of this call appliances from St Dennis and St Austell were mobilised along with a wholetime officer.

Upon arrival a Make Pumps 3 assistance message was sent and an appliance from Mevagissey was mobilised.

At 16:20 a Make Pumps 4 assistance message was sent. An additional appliance from Bodmin was mobilised, along with specialist appliances from Falmouth and Launceston.

Devon and Cornwall Police are in attendance.

** Update 17:55 **
The officer in charge has requested the assistance of Western Power Distribution to isolate the electric supply to the property. Steady progress is being made and firefighters are removing roof slates to expose the roof space and check for hotspots using a thermal imaging camera.

**Update 18:13**
An Aerial Ladder Platform from Newquay has been requested. Crews are making good steady progress.


Update: 22:00 The incident is now being scaled back. Two appliances will stay overnight to damp down. One side of the road will be open again soon to allow traffic through.

One appliance remained on scene through the night monitoring. A fire investigation will be completed in daylight hours.
