At 1902 hours Critical Control received several repeat calls to a report of a detached garage on fire. One appliance from Helston Fire Station and one from Tolvaddon Fire Station along with a Flexi Duty Officer were immediately mobilised.
On arrival crews found a domestic garage on fire which four local members of the public had already made an attempt to extinguish. Firefighters used two hosereels, a covering jet and four breathing apparatus to enter the building followed by a Thermal Imaging Camera to check for hotspots. Crews administered oxygen therapy to a male suffering smoke inhalation and an ambulance was requested from the scene for others suffering the effects of smoke inhalation.

A Fire Investigation was completed on scene and the cause is thought to be accidental.
