Trenant Industrial Estate, Wadebridge at 17/10/2018 21:29

At 18:32 this evening the Critical Control Centre received an emergency call, regarding an industrial unit on fire.

Fire appliances from Wadebridge, Bodmin, Padstow, Delabole, St Columb, St Austell, Lostwithiel, Aerial Ladder Platforms from Newquay and Truro, Water Carriers from Liskeard and Helston, the High Volume Hose from Newquay, along with the Incident Command Unit from Launceston and the Welfare Unit from St. Dennis are currently in attendance.

Firefighters have confirmed one large industrial unit approx. 60 meters by 30 meters, well alight.

Crews are advising members of the public that live within the vicinity of Trenant Industrial Estate to keep all windows closed and stay clear of the area.


Crews remain in attendance, making good progress. Businesses on Palmers Way and Trenant Vale are closed until further notice.

There will be a further update available at 10:00am.

Good progress is being made and the size of the incident is starting to be scaled back. There are currently two pumping appliances, an aerial ladder platform and the High Volume Pump in attendance.
A fire investigation will take place soon.

One appliance and an aerial ladder platform is remaining at the incident until further notice to monitor hotspots and damp down.
