Residential Fire

Golberdon at 23/10/2018 08:36

At 07:09 this morning the Critical Control Centre received an emergency call regarding a residential fire.

Appliances from Callington and Liskeard were mobilised to the incident along with a whole time officer. On arrival crews discovered smoke issuing.

Firefighters discovered the fire on the ground floor of the property and used two Breathing Apparatus and one Hose Reel Jet to extinguish the fire.

Fires happen when you least expect them, often during the night. They also spread very quickly, damaging property, killing and injuring people. A smoke alarm is a warning device that detects smoke at the earliest stages of a fire. When it detects a fire, it will make a piercing noise to alert or wake you.
