Fire Alarm - Malicious Activation

Looe at 02/12/2019 01:51

Critical Control received multiple calls to a fire alarm sounding in a block of flats. One appliance from Looe Community Fire Station was mobilised to the scene. Upon arrival crews investigated and confirmed there was no fire or other emergency.

Witnesses reported that a person had deliberately set off the fire alarm by hitting a manual call point.

The cause of the alarm therefore has been identified as malicious and the incident is under investigation by the police. Anyone with any information please contact Devon and Cornwall Police on 101 quoting log 79 of 02/12/19.
